In the Astronist philosophy of religion, a postulative religion is post-omnidoxical category of religions of Cometanic origin, the first example of which was Astronism. A postulative religion is a type of religion that focuses on the increase in both quantity and quality of the beliefs, ideas, and practices within a religion.

A radical shift from two other categories of religions to which it is contrasted, those being ethnic and universal religions, a postulative religion called for a focus on the beliefs and practices of that religion rather than on the number of adherents as so many religions became fixated on by the 21st century.
